Ms. Barbara
McBee has been appointed to the position of Vice President at
UHHS Bedford Medical Center.
Ms. McBee holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees
in Food and Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University, as
well
as a Master's in Business Administration degree from Baldwin
Wallace College.
Her professional employment began at Cleveland MetroHealth
Center, followed by Park Rehabilitation Center, and in 1979 she
joined
University Hospitals of Cleveland (UHC). During her tenure at
UHC, Ms. McBee progressed from Pediatric Dietitian to Assistant
Director and then to Acting Co-Director of Nutrition Services.
In 1996 she joined UHHS Bedford Medical Center as Director
of Nutrition and Environmental Services. Her leadership role
in
the Y2K initiative was most noteworthy, and other responsibilities
she has accepted have greatly advanced UHHS Bedford Medical Center
as an organization.
Ms. McBee oversees Nutritional Services, Facilities/Maintenance
and Environmental Services, Information Services, Safety and
Protective Services, and Materiel Management and Purchasing.
In addition, she is charged with responsibility for Property
Management (including rental properties) and Risk Management.
In addition, Ms. McBee is a member of Olivet Institutional
Baptist Church. She is President of the St. Peter Chanel High
School
Parents Association and an Advisory Board member of the Citizens
Scholarship Foundation of America. She resides in Bedford Heights.
