Bedford, OH - On Wednesday, May 29th, 2002,
the UHHS Senior Network, Southeast Chapter will sponsor the Life
and Style Spring
Fling at Twinhaven Party Center in Twinsburg.
The UHHS Senior Network is again hosting a vibrant, festive
event to reach out to the ever expanding local senior population
offering
information on wellness and self improvement they may need to
adapt to the changes involved with aging, while still living
fulfilling and productive lives. The event is geared to seniors
in the southeast region (southern Cuyahoga and northern Portage
and Summit counties). This fun-filled day will begin at 1 p.m.
and run until 4 p.m. In addition to exhibitors like Gleneagles
Golf Course, Discovery Tours and Mary Kay Cosmetics, Nordstrom
will host a fashion show displaying both men and women's
clothing and accessories. Del Donahoo from WKYC Channel 3 will
make a special appearance for this event.
The Life and Style Spring Fling should be a dynamic event focusing
on education, providing demonstrations and offering information
on travel and leisure, gardening, clothing and self improvement.
The event is free of charge. However, reservations are required.
Refreshments will be provided for all attendees. The UHHS Senior
Network hopes to attract 300 people.
Developed in 1997, the UHHS Senior Network unites agencies
serving seniors to allow for the sharing of services and resources
and
providing a forum for collaboration on behalf of senior services.
The network has fostered an innovative model for the area in
which agencies and staff who support senior programs need not
work in isolation, independent from each other. Eileen Regan,
Director of the Solon Senior Center, is the chairperson for the
Chapter. UHHS Bedford Medical Center is the organizational sponsor
and advocate for the development of the Senior Network and provides
hospital-related programs and services to the network, as well
as financial support.
The Life and Style Spring Fling will take place at Twinhaven
Party Center, 10439 Ravenna Road, in Twinsburg. RSVPs are
required before May 22. Please call 440-735-3684.
