Bedford, OHOn October 18, 2003, UHHS Bedford Medical
Center will celebrate its 75th Anniversary with a gala event
to be held at Signature
of Solon. This black tie affair will offer party-goers an evening
of fine dining, music, dancing and the opportunity to celebrate
with friends old and new. In addition, guests will receive a
lovely, commemorative gift and witness a "day in the life" video
tribute of Bedford Medical Center, created with this milestone

The event boasts as Committee Chairs Judge Peter Junkin of
the City of Bedford, James "Dell" Judd of James B.
Oswald Co. and Antonia Masetta of NatureStone and includes many
other
prominent members of the community. Entertainment will be provided
by The Art Company, a nationally acclaimed orchestra.
Originally no more that four beds on the second floor of a
private home in Bedford, the hospital was established in April
of 1928
and has grown through the years to keep pace with an ever-expanding
population and demand for high quality, accessible medical care.
The hospital was purchased in 1993 by University Hospitals Health
System allowing Bedford Medical Center to partake in unsurpassed
growth and exciting innovationsa state-of-the-art Outpatient
Surgery Center completed in October of 1997 and a beautifully
appointed and modernized Bretschneider Women's Unit in 2000.
The hospital services the southeast region, which includes Southern
Cuyahoga and Northern Portage and Summit counties.
