In addition, physicians, nursing home representatives, hospice and home health care representatives, and emergency personnel will be presenting on a variety of topics and provide experiential, hands-on education.

These sessions are free to the public. However, registration is required and there is limited seating. A community resource guide will be available to all attendees and Senior Network members will be available along with the presenters to answer questions and offer resources at each session. This series is funded in part by a grant from The Older Americans Act Family Caregiver Support Program (from the Ohio Department Of Aging) through the Western Reserve Area Agency On Aging.

Created in 1997, the UHHS Bedford Medical Center Senior Network was developed to unite agencies serving seniors to allow for the sharing of services and resources and providing a forum for collaboration on behalf of senior services. UHHS Bedford Medical Center is the organizational sponsor and advocate for the development of the Senior Network and provides hospital-related programs and services to the network, as well as financial support.

For individuals who want to attend the series but have no one to provide respite care for their loved ones, assistance can be received through the Western Reserve Area Agency On Aging. For more information about the series and to register, please call 440-735-3684.
